IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the short recruitment notification for one of India’s most sought-after banking examinations: the Common Recruitment Process for Clerical Cadre / Customer Service Associates (CRP CSA-XVI).
Through this nationwide recruitment drive, thousands of vacancies will be filled across 11 participating Public Sector Banks (including PNB, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Union Bank, etc.).

Salary and Pay Scale – 12th Bipartite Settlement
- Pay Scale: ₹ 24,050 – ₹ 64,480/-
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹ 24,050/-
- Gross Monthly Salary: Approx. ₹ 40,000 to ₹ 45,000/- (depending on metro/non-metro posting city).
- Perks & Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, Medical Aid, Provident Fund, Gratuity, and attractive low-interest staff loans (Housing, Car, and Personal).
Selection Process – IBPS Clerk (No Interview!)
- Online Preliminary Examination (Qualifying): A 100-mark speed test consisting of English Language (30 Qs), Numerical Ability (35 Qs), and Reasoning Ability (35 Qs). Duration is 60 minutes (20 mins per section). Marks scored here are ONLY to qualify for Mains.
- Online Main Examination (Final Merit): A 200-mark comprehensive exam covering General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude.
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Conducted by the allotted bank before joining. (Exempted if you have studied the official language of that state in 10th or 12th standard).
- Document Verification & Medical Exam: Final verification before appointment.
How to Apply Online – IBPS Portal (from 01 August 2026)
- Visit Official Website: Go to the official IBPS website at www.ibps.in.
- Select CRP CSA XVI: Click on the ticker or homepage link for “CRP Customer Service Associates (CSA) XVI”.
- New Registration: Click on “Click here for New Registration”. Enter your basic contact details to generate your Registration Number and Password.
- Upload Images: Upload your scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and the mandatory Handwritten Declaration in the exact dimensions specified by IBPS.
- Fill Detailed Form: Enter your graduation marks, computer literacy details, and carefully select the State/UT you want to apply for (ensure you know that state’s local language!).
- Bank Preference: Arrange the 11 participating public sector banks in your order of preference.
- Pay Fee: Make the online payment of ₹850/- or ₹175/- via Net Banking, UPI, or Cards.
- Print Receipt: Submit the form and download the final printed application form and e-receipt for future use.

No. There is absolutely no interview in IBPS Clerical recruitment. Final selection is strictly based on the marks obtained in the Online Main Examination.
You can apply only if your final graduation results are declared and you possess a passing mark sheet/certificate on or before the closing registration date (21 August 2026).
Yes, you can apply for any one state of your choice. However, you must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the official language of that particular state, failing which you will be disqualified in the Local Language Test.
General, OBC, and EWS candidates have to pay an application fee of ₹850/-.
The Online Preliminary Exam is on 10th & 11th October 2026, and the Online Main Exam is on 27th December 2026.
