The selection process for SSC Stenographer Recruitment involves the following steps:

SSC Stenographer 2024 Exam Pattern

The SSC Stenographer 2024 written exam will be conducted online in October-November 2024. The exam will have 50 reasoning questions, 50 general awareness questions, and 100 general English & comprehension questions, each worth one mark. The exam lasts 2 hours. For each wrong answer, 0.33 marks will be deducted.

Stenographer Skill Test

Candidates who pass the CBT exam will be called for the Stenography Test. The pattern for this test is as follows:

Candidates will receive one dictation for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi (as chosen in the online Application Form). The dictation speed will be 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The dictated content must be transcribed on a computer.
