How to Apply Online – SSC CHSL 2026

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in. If you haven’t already, complete One-Time Registration (OTR) — SSC now requires all candidates to create an OTR profile before applying for any exam.

Step 2: Log in with your OTR credentials and navigate to the CHSL 2026 application link. Click on “Apply Now”.

Step 3: Fill in the application form — personal details (name, father’s name, DOB, gender, category), educational qualification (12th board, year of passing, percentage), and post preferences (LDC/JSA, DEO, DEO Grade ‘A’ — rank them in your preference order).

Step 4: Select your exam centre preferences (up to 3 centres from any state). SSC will try to allot your preferred centre, but it’s subject to availability.

Step 5: Upload scanned copies of:

  • Passport-size Photograph (JPEG, as per specifications)
  • Signature (JPEG, as per specifications)
  • Any other document if prompted by the system

Step 6: Pay the application fee of ₹100/- (for General/OBC/EWS males) through online payment. SC/ST/PwD/ESM/All Female candidates — no payment required.

Step 7: Review the completed form thoroughly, submit, and download/save the application confirmation. Note your Application Number and Registration ID for future reference.
