How to Apply Online – India Post GDS 2026
Phase 1: One-Time Registration (OTR) — 31 Aug to 19 Sep
1: Visit the official India Post GDS portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in (or the direct registration link when available).
2: Click on “New Registration / OTR” and create your profile by entering: full name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, Aadhaar number, and basic educational details.
3: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other documents as specified.
4: Complete OTR and note your Registration Number and password.
Phase 2: Application Submission — 02 Sep to 21 Sep
5: Log in using your OTR credentials and click on “Apply for GDS Engagement”. Select your postal circle, division, and the specific post/branch office you want to apply for. The system will show only those vacancies for which you meet the language eligibility.
6: Fill in detailed application information — 10th class marks (subject-wise), board name, year of passing, local language studied, and post preferences. Your 10th percentage is auto-calculated by the system.
7: Pay the application fee of ₹100/- (for General/OBC/EWS males) through online payment. SC/ST/PwD/Female/3rd Gender candidates are exempted — no payment required.
8: Review all entries and submit. Download and print the application confirmation. Note your Application Reference Number.
