Selection Process
The selection process is merit-based and focuses on technical expertise and personality traits.
- Shortlisting: Applications are shortlisted based on the normalized marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a 5-day SSB interview at Bangalore, Bhopal, Visakhapatnam, or Kolkata.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a medical fitness test at military hospitals.

Salary & Training
- Training: Selected candidates will undergo training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala.
- Starting Rank: Sub Lieutenant.
- Pay Scale: Level-10 (Basic Pay starts from ₹56,100/- per month).
- Total Salary: Including MSP, DA, HRA, and other allowances, the gross salary is approximately ₹90,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month.
