1. Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Post Graduate Degree: Candidates must possess a full-time Degree in Engineering or a Post Graduate (PG) degree/diploma in Environment Science/Engineering/Management or related disciplines from a recognized university.

2. Age Limit (as on 22.05.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years.
- Maximum Age: 30 Years.

Selection Process: The Road to NTPC
The selection process is dynamic and depends on the number of applications received:
- Written Test (CBT): If conducted, it will consist of two parts:
- Subject Knowledge Test (SKT): Focuses on technical environmental topics.
- Executive Aptitude Test (EAT): Focuses on reasoning, verbal ability, and quantitative aptitude.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for a personal interview.
- Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to being found medically fit as per NTPC’s medical standards.
