Selection Process
The selection for CIL MT 2026 is highly competitive and follows a structured merit-based approach.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): An online exam consisting of two papers (Paper-I: General Knowledge/Reasoning/Maths; Paper-II: Professional Knowledge).
- Document Verification: Scrutiny of original academic and caste certificates for shortlisted candidates.

- Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000.
- Stipend: During the 1-year training, MTs receive a basic pay of ₹60,000/month.
