The Indian Army has officially released the notification for the 144th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-144). Eligibility Criteria & Vacancy Details

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of the Engineering Degree course.
  • Final year students must be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jan 2027.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2027)

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 27 Years
  • (Candidates should be born between 02 Jan 2000 and 01 Jan 2007, both dates inclusive).

3. Vacancy Distribution

The total 30 vacancies are distributed across various engineering streams such as Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Miscellaneous streams.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Technical Graduate Course is rigorous and based purely on merit:

  1. Shortlisting of Applications: Based on the cutoff percentage of marks up to the 6th semester for Engg Degree students.
  2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day SSB process at selection centers (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Jalandhar).
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical fitness test.
  4. Merit List: Prepared based on marks obtained in the SSB interview.
  5. Joining Letter: Issued to candidates who fall within the merit list and are medically fit.
