Post-Wise Academic Qualifications

  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology): Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Forensic Science. Applicants with a Forensic Science degree should have studied Zoology or Botany at the Bachelor’s level. Candidates holding a B.E./B.Tech degree in Biotechnology are also eligible.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics): A Master’s Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Forensic Science is required. Forensic Science candidates must have studied Physics or Mathematics during their B.Sc.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry): Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or Forensic Science with Chemistry as a subject in their Bachelor’s degree.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Lie Detection): Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology or Criminology from a recognized institution.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Documents): A Master’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Forensic Science is required. Candidates should have studied Physics or Chemistry for at least two years during their undergraduate studies.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (HRD/QC): Eligible candidates should possess a Master’s Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Forensic Science, Psychology, Toxicology, Biotechnology, or Genetics. MCA degree holders, B.Tech graduates in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, ECE, Instrumentation, and candidates with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management are also eligible.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Photo): Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or Forensic Science. B.Tech graduates in Artificial Intelligence may also apply.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Cyber Forensic): Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or Physics with Cyber Security specialization. B.E./B.Tech graduates in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering are also eligible.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Crime Scene / District Mobile Forensic Unit): A Master’s Degree in Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Toxicology, Biochemistry, or Forensic Science is required.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Finger Print): Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Forensic Science. Physics or Chemistry must have been studied for at least two years at the graduation level.
  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics): Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Physics or Forensic Science, with Physics studied for a minimum of two years during graduation.
  • Technical Assistant (Hindi): Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Hindi or English, or a Master’s Degree in any discipline with Hindi and English as prescribed subjects. Additionally, a Hindi-English Translation Diploma/Certificate or two years of translation experience is required.
  • Assistant Archivist Grade-I: A Master’s Degree in History with specialization in Modern Indian History along with a Diploma in Archives and Record Management is essential.
  • I.T. Assistant Grade-A: Candidates must have passed Class 12 and possess a typing speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour (equivalent to 26.67 WPM in Hindi or English). They must also qualify the prescribed aptitude test.
  • Fitter Grade-II: Applicants should possess a Plumber Trade Certificate along with at least one year of practical experience in water distribution systems involving C.I. and G.I. pipelines.
  • Lift Operator: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) and hold an ITI certificate in Electrician or Wireman trade.
  • Assistant Operator-cum-Mechanic (A/C): Applicants should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with an ITI qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. A minimum of two years of experience in AC operation or maintenance is also required.
  • Sub Station Apprentice: Candidates must have passed Matriculation and possess a two-year National Trade Certificate in Electrician Trade.
  • Data Processing Assistant Grade-A: Applicants should be graduates with one year of relevant experience, or hold a three-year Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering. Prescribed typing proficiency is also required.
  • Data Entry Operator Grade-B: Candidates must be graduates or possess a three-year Diploma in Computer Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering, along with a typing speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour. Qualifying the aptitude test is mandatory.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (Computer Science): Eligible qualifications include BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology, or Graduation with DOEACC ‘A’ Level certification.
  • Domestic Science Teacher: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Science/Domestic Science along with a B.Ed., with Home Science/Domestic Science as the teaching subject.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (Special Education): Applicants must be graduates with B.Ed. (Special Education) or an equivalent qualification, along with CTET (Elementary Level) qualification and valid RCI registration.
  • Special Educator (Primary): Candidates should have passed 12th class and possess D.Ed. (Special Education), Diploma in Special Education, or any equivalent RCI-recognized qualification. CTET (Primary Level) and RCI registration are also mandatory.
  • Electrical Overseer / Sub Inspector: Applicants must hold a Degree in Electrical Engineering. Candidates with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering are also eligible provided they possess at least one year of relevant work experience.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination (CBT): Online tier exam mapping descriptive/objective segments based on the respective post classifications.
  2. Skill Test / Typing Test: Conducted where explicitly requested (e.g., IT Assistant, DEO, and technical operator trades).
  3. Document Verification (DV): Physical verification of essential qualifications, RCI registrations, and CTET certificates.
  4. Medical Examination: Final medical clearance parameters before job deployment.

FAQs – DSSSB Group B C Vacancy 2026

Q1. Are candidates belonging to OBC categories from states outside Delhi eligible for reservation benefits under DSSSB?

Ans: No. In accordance with Delhi Government recruitment rules, only OBC candidates possessing an OBC Certificate issued by the competent authority of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi are eligible for age relaxation and category reservation benefits. Outside Delhi OBC applicants must apply under the Unreserved (UR) category.

Q2. Is CTET mandatory for applying to the Trained Graduate Teacher (Computer Science) post?

Ans: No. A Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) qualification is not required for the TGT Computer Science post code under the current recruitment layout rules. It is, however, highly mandatory for the Special Educator positions.

Q3. Can an individual applicant submit forms for multiple post codes under Advt 03/2026?
