Selection Process – IBPS PO MT XVI 2026
- Preliminary Written Examination (Prelims) – Online exam with 100 marks, used purely for shortlisting candidates for Mains. Prelims marks are NOT counted in the final merit.
- Main Written Examination (Mains) – Objective (200 marks) + Descriptive paper (25 marks). This is the primary merit-determining stage.
- Personal Interview – Candidates shortlisted from Mains are called for a face-to-face interview. Interview carries 100 marks.
- Final Merit – Calculated based on Mains + Interview scores combined.
- Medical Examination – Candidates provisionally selected must pass a medical fitness test at a bank-designated center.
- Document Verification (DV) – Final check of all original academic, age, and category documents before issuance of appointment letter.
