📝 How to Apply for IGNOU July 2026 Re-Registration

  1. Visit the official IGNOU re-registration portal: onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.
  2. Read the instructions carefully and check the “I have read and understood the instructions” box.
  3. Click on “Proceed for Re-Registration”.
  4. Login: Enter your Enrollment Number and Password. If you haven’t registered on the Samarth portal yet, click on “New Registration.”
  5. Course Selection: Choose the elective/optional subjects for your next semester or year.
  6. Fee Payment: Pay the programme fee online using the available payment gateways.
  7. Confirmation: Once the payment is successful, download the form and fee receipt for future reference.

FAQs – IGNOU RE-Registration

Q1. What happens if I miss the IGNOU Re-Registration last date?

Ans: If you miss the deadline, you may lose a semester or a full year of your academic progress. Sometimes IGNOU extends the date with a late fee of ₹200–₹500, but it is best to apply before June 30, 2026.

Q2. I have not appeared for my previous year’s exams. Can I still re-register?

Ans: Yes! In IGNOU, re-registration is independent of appearing in or passing previous exams. You can move to the next level regardless of your exam results.

Q3. How do I know if my re-registration is successful?

Ans: After payment, you will receive a confirmation email and SMS. You can also check your “Registration Status” on the IGNOU website after 48-72 hours.
